How does it work? Q: How does it work?
A: As well as being a radio receiver, each FOFA contains a complete radio transmitter, which you can activate with the buttons on the front, allowing you to FIND all the other FOFAs!
As an example we regularly give on the phone to help understand how FOFA works:
You have a set of 2 "Key fob" FOFAs and an additional Flat FOFA for this example.
You can set your key FOFA as #1, your wallet Flat FOFA as #2, and a keyfob FOFA on your cell phone as #3.
What you do if you lose each item.
If you lose your keys.
Grab your wallet or mobile phone, push #1 on either of their FOFAs and your keys will start to beep loudly and flash, if within range.
If you lose your wallet.
From your key or cell phone FOFA, push #2 and your wallet will start to beep and flash, if within range.
If you lose your cell phone.
From your key or wallet FOFA, push #3 and your cell phone FOFA will start to beep and flash, if within range.
Q: Why do you sell the key fob FOFAs in pairs?
A: 2 Reasons:
1) Most people have at least 2 Sets of keys at home. A main set and a spare set
2) We want to make sure you get at least 2 FOFAs! (They are like telephones, you need at least one other to talk to!) After 2, the more you have, the better, in terms of finding your things of course.
Q: What does the alarm sound like? How loud is it?
A: 94dB!
Q: How much does either style of FOFA weigh?
A: Only 1/2 oz! (including battery!)
Q: How long do the batteries last?
Are Batteries included?
What kind of battery does FOFA take? Are they hard to find or expensive?
A: About a year of average use.
Yes! Batteries are included with every FOFA.
FOFA uses one ordinary 2032 Coin cell, and available everywhere.
